Digicel Launches UNLIMITED Local & Caribbean Talk Plans in Anguilla!

 

April 8, 2011, THE VALLEY, ANGUILLA: Digicel the Region’s Telecommunications leader has done it AGAIN on the island of Anguilla! The management and staff of Digicel enthusiastically announced the introduction of the new prepaid talk plans that allows customers the freedom to talk more for less!  The new unlimited talk plans applies to all local and Caribbean Digicel numbers for $29EC weekly OR $99EC monthly!

“The new talk plans launched continues to bring even better value to the people of Anguilla, given these trying economic times”, stated Country Manager John Gidharry.  He went on to say that “It also reiterates the commitment and pledge made by the local Digicel team to ensure the people of Anguilla, benefit from its operations on the island and to drive cost down.”

The release of the UNLIMITED plans come on the heels of the introduction of the MyFive campaign launched at the end of January 2011 and several other promotions Digicel has been pushing over the past two months, showing a true sense of commitment to Anguilla.

1.     What is the ‘Unlimited call plan’ about?

The unlimited voice plan gives all prepaid Digicel Subscribers UNLIMITED calls to local and Digicel Caribbean numbers (Excluding Guyana) for only $29 for 7 days and $99 for 30 days.

2.     Is the ‘unlimited call plan’ available to both prepaid and postpaid subscribers?

No. The ‘unlimited call plan’ is available to only Digicel prepaid subscribers.

3.     Which destinations are considered as Digicel Caribbean countries as part of the unlimited call plan?

Anguilla, Antigua, St. Kitts, BVI, Dominica, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Grenada, Barbados, Trinidad, Haiti, Cayman, Jamaica, Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao

 

4.     Are all numbers in within the participating countries part of the unlimited call plan?

No, only calls to Digicel prefixes in these countries are part of the unlimited call plan. All other numbers would be charged normal rates.

 

5.     How can the ‘unlimited plan’ be activated?

The ‘UNLIMITED CALL PLAN’ can be activated by dialing *134# and choosing the 30 day or 7 day plan.

6.     Is there a subscription fee for the ‘UNLIMITED CALL PLAN’?

 

Yes. There is a subscription fee for the 7 day plan is $29 and the 30 day plan is $99.

7.     Will the subscription fee be deducted after activation?

Yes. Upon activation via *134# Send, the subscription fee would be deducted immediately once the subscriber has confirmed purchase of the plan.

 

 

 

 

8.     Are there any restrictions with the ‘UNLIMITED CALL PLAN’?

Yes.       There are restrictions with the UNLIMITED CALL PLAN.

-          Prepaid customers require credit on their accounts in order to active.

-          There is a fair usage policy of 4 hours a day. Customers who continue to use more than the fair usage of 4 hours a day would be deactivated from the plan and also restricted from activating the plan in the future.

-          As a safeguard against fraud, customers will be automatically cut off after being on a single call for 3 hours. However, the customer can immediately re-dial the number to continue said call.

9.     Are Prepaid CUG Customers able to benefit from ‘UNLIMITED CALL PLAN’?

NO. Prepaid CUG customers are not able to benefit from the unlimited call plan.

 

10. Are subscribers able to activate more than one plan at a time?

No. Subscribers are only able to activate one plan at a time. Once the plan has expired on the specified date, then there can be a reactivation of the ‘Unlimited Call Plan’.

11. Is there a reactivation code that prepaid customers can use?

No. There is no reactivation code, however standard auto renew rules apply. Customers can also dial *134# Send to activate the plan after expiry if there was no auto renew.

12. Are prepaid customers able to check the accumulated minutes?

No. Subscribers are unable to check accumulated minutes.

13. Is there auto renew on the ‘UNLIMITED CALL PLAN’?

Yes. The unlimited call plan will follow normal auto renew rules.

14. Am I able to use the ‘UNLIMITED CALL PLAN’ while roaming?

No. Customers who are roaming are NOT able to benefit or activate the UNLIMITED CALL PLAN.
