Digicel Supports 5^th Year Anniversary of Tiny Tots

The Valley, Anguilla, June 25, 2009--  Digicel is proud to partner with the Tiny Tot Committee as they celebrate their 5^th year anniversary and stage their annual kid’s pageant.

Conceived under a Tamarind tree, this pageant has blossomed into an event that showcases and highlights the talent, intellect and bravery of young girls ages 6 – 8 years old.

“Digicel is honored to support the 5^th anniversary of the Tiny Tot Pageant. It’s important to develop a sense of self-confidence and self-worth at an early age and I believe this pageant and it’s dedicated committee help develop these important characteristics,” stated Stephenie Brooks, Country Manager Digicel.

This year’s pageant features 6 contestants from various villages throughout Anguilla. The contestants include: Shamika Carty of South Hill, Shamicha Rey of Little Harbour, Allysha Richardson of North Hill, Jonifa Richards of Blowing Point, Caleigh McMillian of Sandy Hill and Nakia Webster of Long Path.

The categories of competition include introductory speech, cultural wear, dream profession, talent and princess evening wear.

The pageant is to be held on July 15^th in the Landsome Bowl Cultural Center at 6pm.
