In addition to providing funding for a coach's stipend and traveling expenses for the team, Digicel is outfitting the entire team in brand new practice and playing kits. Former Hampshire County Cricketer, Cardigan Connor who is the Cricket Development Officer manages the team and trains Omari Banks, local Leeward Island Cricketer, expressed his delight at Digicel's support of the Under 19's Cricket Team. Digicel's long-term commitment to the team shows that they want our youngsters to succeed and be the best they can be. As a former professional cricketer who feels very passionate about the sport, I am happy that these young men have the opportunity to play a sport that has given me so much satisfaction through the years.  

 

According to the President of the Anguilla Cricket Association, Mr. Benjie Hughes,   Digicel's support of the Under 19's Cricket Team is important as this is crucial juncture for many young cricketers as they look forward to possible professional opportunities.
